01. How it works
What is motza?
motza is free to join and is a simple, safe and fun way for Australians to earn cashback rewards on their everyday shopping.
You can earn cashback when you purchase goods and services using a bank or credit card linked to one of the bank accounts you connect to motza. Shop in store and online, and earn cashback, automatically, on everyday purchases like groceries and fuel.
With motza you can earn up to $100 cashback per month on the things you need so you can have more of the things you want!
motza is currently running a small Beta trial in NSW only. It’s our way of fine tuning the product and getting feedback from members about their experience so we can provide the best possible cashback program to every Australian household. The trial is initially limited to around 2,000 members.
Please read our service Terms and Conditions here.
What is a ‘cashback’?
A “cashback” is simply a cash reward provided by motza on any eligible good or service that you purchase at select retailers.
Cashback is usually offered as either:
1) A % of an eligible purchase;
2) A fixed $ amount with a minimum spend.
The cashback will appear automatically in your motza wallet once the transaction has been posted by your bank.
There are no points, no coupons, just cold hard cash.
Please note that the cashback is provided by motza, not the retailer and that other terms and conditions may apply. You can read our service Terms and Conditions here

The maximum cashback a member can earn is $50 per week. Once this limit is reached in a week further purchases in that week do not earn rewards in that week and do not carry over. The cashback limit will reset early Monday morning every week. We will show you clearly in the app when your cashback limit is reached.

Once we’ve identified and confirmed your cashback, you’ll see it appear in your motza wallet. The time this takes will depend on how long your bank takes to post the transaction. Generally this should happen within 2-3 days but can take up to 7 days in certain conditions (eg on public holidays and weekends). To help get your cashback faster, we recommend using EFTPOS and debit options when you pay for eligible goods and services. If the cashback has not appeared after 7 days, in the motza app, go to Settings -> Submit customer support request. Remember, cashback will only appear when you purchase eligible goods and services at selected retailers (either online or in store) using a bank or credit card linked to one of the bank accounts you connect to motza. What is the difference between my “available” cashback in my motza wallet and cashback “earned to date”?
Your “available” balance in your motza wallet is the cashback you have earned on eligible transactions and is currently available for you to withdraw. Remember you need a minimum available balance of $10 before you can withdraw your earnings. When you withdraw, your available balance will be transferred to your nominated connected account, and your available balance will fall back to $0. Cashback “earned to date” is the total cashback you have accumulated with motza since your account was created. This represents the sum of all the cashback that you have previously withdrawn, together with your available cashback!

Security is a priority for us and we take it very seriously! We safeguard your app with two-factor authentication so only you can access it.
This means no accessing the app even if someone guesses or steals your email and password. We protect your data with security you can trust, including industry standard AES 256-bit encryption. We also give you control, so you can disconnect your bank accounts and delete your account at any time.
